DESCRIPTION

Light cured Temporary Restorative.

BIOPLIC must be applied pure to the properly prepared cavity, without the need to carry out acid etching or use dentin adhesive.
BIOPLIC is a resinous material, composed of Dimethacrylate groups, organic filler, silicon dioxide, sodium fluoride and catalysts, which, after activation by visible light (photopolymerizing device), hardens to a rubbery consistency, used to temporarily seal cavities.
When used as a temporary restorative material, after light cured it absorbs water from saliva, undergoes a slight expansion, placing negative pressure on the cavity wall, ensuring an efficient sealing capacity. Seals access to the cavity, protecting exposed dentinal canaliculi or the entrance to the root canal, preventing the passage of fluids, bacteria and toxins.
When used to temporarily seal the implant screw, its action consists of forming a mechanical barrier isolating the screw from contact with fluids from the oral cavity.
When used as an occlusal sculpting matrix, its action is plastic and modeling, due to the characteristics of the product.
It contains fluoride in the composition, promoting prophylactic action against cavities.
(Sodium fluoride = 0.52% fluoride ions).
The product’s exposure time to light from the light cuing device (single exposure) is 40 seconds.
It is compatible with composite resin restorations, as it does not contain Eugenol.
The recommended time for the product to remain on the patient as a temporary restorative is up to 30 days. In cases of temporary sealing of the implant screw, replace it every 30 days.
