Cariestop

Description

Cariostatic.

The solution of 12%, 30% and 38% silver diamine fluoride in an ammonia environment promotes the strengthening of the enamel structure by the formation of Ca F2 (Calcium Fluoride) and Ag3 PO4 (Silver Phosphate) through its reaction with the tooth structure , in addition to the formation of silver protein complexes on the tooth surface.
The preventive action is related to the fluoride ion and the controlling action to the silver ion.
The cariostatic action occurs by stimulating dentin sclerosis, preventing the advancement of dental caries.
The antimicrobial action is mainly due to its action on S. mutans.
Studies have reported a 65% reduction in the rate of caries in molars, with the quarterly application of cariostatic products.

Advantages

  • It has bactericidal action, due to the presence of silver;
  • Preventive and remineralizing action, through the action of fluoride;
  • Curative action, paralyzing carious lesions, through the formation of sclerosed dentin;
  • Anti-microbial action, acting more specifically on Str. Mutans.
  • Presentation in two concentrations meeting the needs of each procedure.
