Description
Caries Dentin Disclosing Agent.
Disclosing agents such as EVICÁRIE are materials used to help professionals distinguish between affected and carious dentin in restorative treatments. Affected dentin is not contaminated with bacteria and, even though it is softer than healthy dentin, it should not be removed, while infected dentin must be removed before cavity restoration.
The product works through the acid red dye S52 present in its formulation. The stained red area indicates demineralized and infected dentin.
EVICÁRIE clearly differentiates the infected dentin layer, which must be removed, without staining the other layers or normal dentin.
