Hydropast + I

Hydropast is indicated as a Temporary Material for Root Canal Filling; In the control of exudate; In periapical lesions; As an inducer in the application process; In the treatment for root resorption and perforations; In cases of exposed pulp, pulp lining and pulpotomy; How to assist in permanent filling in the apical plug technique; In pulpectomies in deciduous teeth.

The presence of iodoform in the formulation of Hydropast + I gives the paste anti-infective properties with prolonged effect and intense radiopacity.

It has calcium hydroxide in its composition, an important element to induce the formation of repairing dentin and used as an intracanal material in endodontic procedures. Calcium hydroxide gives the product antibacterial action, depriving the residual microorganisms of their nutritional supply preventing the penetration of exudate into the root canal system. This component also has excellent biocompatibility and stimulates the host tissue, induces the formation of repairing dentin, allowing an increase in the calcification of the preexisting dentin layer, giving better protection conditions to the pulp when subjected to lesions.
