Master Bond DE
Description
MASTER BOND DE is a dentin adhesive that enables the bonding of dental structures (enamel and dentin) to resin-based materials. It is an adhesive system in which the primer and adhesive are combined in a single bottle (single-component), facilitating handling by the dentist.
It is light-curing, easy to apply, hydrophilic, provides adhesive strength, and offers protection against microleakage. Adhesive systems like MASTER BOND DE micromechanically bond dentin to resin material by forming a resin-impregnated intertubular dentin layer, known as the hybrid layer.
MASTER BOND DE has low viscosity, allowing it to penetrate the porosities of dental tissue and mechanically interlock with it to achieve high adhesion. However, for adequate adhesion, chemical conditioning of the enamel and dentin with 37% phosphoric acid is necessary to completely remove the smear layer (a debris layer deposited on the dentin after cavity preparation) before applying the adhesive.
Vantagens
- Single-component: saves time;
- Alcohol-based: less evaporation;
- High bond strength and protection against microleakage;
- Hydrophilic: better compatibility with moisture;
- Fluoride release: reduces recurrence of dental caries;
- Versatile indications.
