Zinc Oxide

Description

Temporary Restorative Material.

Zinc Oxide is used as a provisional restorative agent; cavity liner; agent for temporary or permanent cementation; root canal filling material; or as a surgical cement.

The pH of Zinc Oxide and Eugenol is practically neutral, tending toward slight alkalinity, and therefore less irritating than other cements. Studies have shown that marginal leakage is minimal, with excellent adaptation after its placement in the cavity.
