E.D.T.A Trissodic
Description
Chelating Agent.
The E.D.T.A. Trissodic Liquid is a product widely used in the preparation of root canal walls, prior to filling.
It works by demineralizing dentin particles by chelating calcium and magnesium ions, facilitating their dissolution and absorption, proving to be an effective chelating and lubricating agent.
It is also effective in removing dentin pieces during periodontal therapy, exposing the collagen and facilitating the adhesion of the treated connective tissue to the root surface. This compound decalcifies dentin to a depth of 10 to 30 µm in 5 minutes.
Its solubility reaches 30% and its pH between 7.0 and 8.0 is compatible with living tissues, giving the product practically no tissue irritation.
Advantages
- Removal of the “smear layer”, facilitating the penetration of adhesive agents or cements inside the dentinal canaliculi;
- Facilitating the entry of files for endodontic instrumentation into canals with atresia.
Forms of presentation
- 1 bottle with 20ml of E.D.T.A. Trissodic Liquid.
